About Islantilla Golf Resort
Beach, golf, gastronomy, sport... relax!
Opened in 1992, this is famous for being one of the best courses in Spain. In 2000 it was listed by the prestigious Golf Digest magazine as among the 100 best courses in Europe.
Situated inside the modern Islantilla residential complex, the course has a fantastic climate and wonderful views of the sea whose azure tones contrast sharply with the lush green vegetation which surrounds the 27 holes which make up the course, and are divided into three rounds of varying difficulty which players of any handicap will enjoy. The course was designed with great care, with gentle slopes and pretty lakes, and the quality of the Pencross greens and Agrostis fairways endows the course with great versatility. The courses have a total length of 9,075 metres and is considered to be a commercial course.

It is an interesting par 36 course with 3 par 3, 3 par 4 and 3 par 5, what make it appropriate for medium handicappers. Except for the first three holes the rest is quite affordable

We are a group of 4 golfers, with handicaps ranging from 7 to 24. We have played at Islantilla for the last 6 years, and we have seen a great improvement in the facilities over that time. Played the blue and green courses. Both are very strategic with tree lines all over the holes which require precise and strait shots. Greens had diferent speed on each 9, but overall maintence was very good. Clubhouse is great with staff very friendly and helpful.

Gisteren op de Amarillo en Verde gespeeld, bij aankomst makkelijk parkeren omdat het hotel dicht is voor renovatie, om dezelfde reden een korting op de greenfees ontvangen. Vriendelijke ontvangst bij de desk en omdat wij onze Portugese tijd hadden aangehouden bijna te laat maar we mochten 20 minuten later starten zodat we eerst nog wat in konden slaan.
