Our course was designed by Harold J. Baker, a top professional player for more than 30 years and a highly respected course architect. Baker believed that a golf course should merge naturally with its surroundings, so that not only sporting but also aesthetic considerations could be satisfied. The Palingbeek is one of the finest examples of the Baker philosophy in practice.
The result is a course of great natural beauty which offers a wide range of challenges to players of all abilities, where good play is rewarded but where the occasional bad shot is not excessively penalised: in short, an ideal course for club members and green fee players alike.

Le golf de palingbeek est niché au coeur d une campagne verdoyante sur les traces des combats de la 1ère WW.
Le parcours est moyen. Pas de difficultés insurmontables. Le terrain est très sec suite à la canicule estivale. les greens sont bien entretenus et défendus par de larges bunkers.

Mooie driving range. Oefenballen zijn onbeperkt te gebruiken, dit zit bij de prijs in. Zeer wisselende holes die ook voor golfers met een hogere handicap te doen zijn. Tijdens ons verblijf werd er uitgebreid onderhoud gepleegd, de baan lag er mooi bij. Hole 18 is zeer het eind zeer pittig. Veel ballen bereiken hier niet de green. Het terrein is in superconditie, met dank aan het greenkeepingteam!
Andere maaiing, rough, semirough,... ons terrein is zo ‘leuk uitdagend ‘ geworden! De greens zijn top: niet te vatten snelheid en moeilijk te lezen, steeds verrassend doch eerlijk leuk!
