Played the American on Wednesday (English course on the previous Wed) and found that the fairways and particularly the greens were in great shape for December. The finishing four holes must rank amongst the most challenging set in Belgium and what a pleasure to be able to pitch and putt normally! The club maintains summer greens on both its 18 hole courses throughout the year and in the colder period advance the tee boxes. A few of the tee positions are temporary being placed ahead of the regular tees. The lower lying parts of the American course are starting to be rather soft with the rain which is normal for the period but the leaves have largely been removed and playing conditions are very good. The clubhouse is very pleasant with an active vibe and a very good menu.
