About Royal Golf Club du Hainaut
Inaugurated in 1933 by some passionate golfing friends, the Royal Golf Club of Hainaut was built on the grounds of the Princes of Croÿ, in the town of Jurbise, a few kilometers from Mons. The club is the middle of heather and broom, on a rather sandy soil. The design and execution were entrusted to Tom Simpson, one of the best English golf architects who has designed some of the most beautiful golf courses in Europe and those of Spa, Sart Tilman and Kapellen in Belgium. The initial golf course consisted of 9 holes, which were quickly taken to a complete 18-hole course.
Its friendly atmosphere, irreproachable hospitality and the quality of its route make it an important player in the Belgian golf landscape.

Hier gespeeld op een grijze maandag, ik kreeg parcours Étangs en Quesnoy voorgeschoteld, de derde lus was gesloten.
Het onthaal was ok, de driving range ligt aan de overkant van de weg, is even stappen vanaf de bezoekersparking, maar deze is goed uitgerust.
Er was mij verteld dat deze baan er in de wintermaanden goed bij ligt, en dat is niet gelogen. Afslaan van de gewo…

Leuke mooie baan waar je volledige rust kan vinden! Greens zijn mooi, snel en goed te spelen. Baan heeft nog beetje last van de zomerdroogte maar lag zeer mooi.

In de 'koninklijke' van Henegouwen kun je kiezen tussen drie banen van 9 holes. Vrij te combineren: le quesnoy, les bruyères en les étangs. De laatste speelden wij enkele jaren geleden en speelt zich volledig in het bos af op nauwe fairways, geflankeerd door vijvers aan beide zijden. Geen baan voor beginners! Het hoogteverschil speelt je gegarandeerd parten. Niet voor nie…
