Leonard review

Konopiste has 3 courses two 18 holes courses for experienced players a nine holes course for practice. There are several buildings in the resort 135 rooms and a pool. I played the D'Este course which was very nice. It's quite hilly so I would recommend a buggy otherwise it's quite a workout. The rough is quite friendly and the course is not very long although when you play it it feels long. Also there are some long par 3's like the 8th 218m from the back tee. There is a great challenging par 5 hole 7 the stroke index is 13 I think it should be lower. In my opinion the 9th is visually the most impressive hole and hole 18 is way too difficult for a finishing hole on a resort course. Not really sure if it is possible but I would swap the 1st nine loop with the 2nd nine, this way you finish with the island green and a great feeling (if you are not in the water off course...) But to sum up I think beside of some needed renovation on the rooms & restaurant, Konopiste is an excellent place for stay and play. Great courses, good maintenance and friendly staff.
