Leonard review

The Forest course is one of the craziest 9 holes I ever played. On the steep fairways with bounces like a pinball machine it was really very hard to keep your ball let a lone to set a decent score. On hole 2 a relatively short par 4 the green had a 2 meter wide plateau, where the pin was placed and if you miss that your ball would roll all the way left. One member in my flight needed 3 puts just to get on the plateau. You definitely need a buggy on this course otherwise you won't finish the next nine. On the top of the mountain there are some decent holes. There is a nice par 3 with a 30 meter drop the three of us hit all hit our balls on the green but the green slopes away from the tee so all balls roled over the green and 2 where lost. Hole 8 is an other steep par 5 going down where our entire flight lost their teeshot in my opinion this course is only to be played by very skilled golfers and you need a local guide. Luckily we played the River loop in the afternoon and although the first hole is somewhat strange, you can not see the green from the 100 meter post this course is much more playable. The river is integrated in the course very nicely and you cross it several times there is a very nice par 4 where you really need to choose to lay up (170m left to the green) or go for it (230 meter carry) then there is a beautiful short (90m) par three proving that a good par doesn't need to be very long. A nice par 5 and an other beautiful par 3 on your way to the beautiful clubhouse. The staff is super friendly and the freshly made raspberry lemonade is amazing. There are also very nice rooms to stay very close to the 27 holes. Next to the loops we played they also have an other loop The Meadow course which we didn't play. The greens were excellent and for a course that is open for a year it looked stunning.
