About Golf de Chantilly

Golf de Chantilly was inaugurated in 1909. It was designed by the British architect Tom Simpson who designed many of the other famous golf courses in France like Morfontaine, Fontainebleau and Hossegor. Golf de Chantilly has two 18-hole championship courses: the Longères course and the Vineuil course. Playing Golf de Chantilly is only possible during the week for visitors.

Een zeer technische baan die niet vergevingsgezind is. Wel prachtig gelegen met een grandeur van een ver verleden. Dat geeft het ook zijn charme. De bediening is echter niet aanwezig tijdens de week en een persoonlijke touch ontbreekt. Jammer want anders had deze baan nog hoger gescoord.

Chantilly ademt een oud-Engelse sfeer uit in een Frans jasje. Het clubhuis is oud maar op een aantal essentiële punten gemoderniseerd (Toiletten en doucheruimtes). De lockerruimte is nog wel in oorspronkelijke stijl en in het ledengedeelte knispert een grote open haard. Bezoekers moeten vooraf een starttijd aanvragen. Dat kan via een email maar dat is nog lastig zoeken op…

Très beau club et très beau parcours que celui de Vineuil. De la place pour les drives bien que les arbres ne soient jamais trop loin. Grands greens, le trois puts nous guette en permanence... Club house "old school" mais classieux! Belles boiseries. Il faut y jouer ici, ce parcours est une référence, et la nature est belle. Le tracé vaut aussi le détour, de quoi se fai…
