Designed by Severiano Ballesteros, it was the first completely public 18-hole golf course to be built in Spain. In the words of its designer, Urturi is a course for all players; beginners will appreciate the wide fairways, while professionals will be faced with a real challenge and will definitely need to use all of the clubs in their bag. The design of its spectacular holes and open fairways, surrounded by oaks, beech and holly trees, make playing at Izki a unique experience to enjoy golfing and nature alike. 18 holes, par 72, distributed along 98 hectares (242 acres), with a total length of 7 kilometers, The Urturi has been made by ‘Seve’ Ballesteros with a personal philosophy, from both an environmental and game-strategy point of view.
With sun all year round, great culture & food and heaps of good golf courses, Spain is a must-visit destination for every golfer. However, it is a common belief that it’s very difficult to find good, but cheap Spanish golf courses. You may be familiar with the term “you get what you pay for” and think that cheap golf courses are not good enough for having a nice round of golf. But you wouldn’t say no to a nice golf course that is not expensive, would you?
