Jeroen review

We were with a group of 20 players and we played both the Tour and Stadium course. It had rained quite a lot, so the courses played quite long. Greens were soft, again due to the rain. Greens were difficult to read but fair. The grain of the grass really impacted the speed of the ball. Sometimes the grain went different ways, which made putting a real challenge. The Tour course is a good course, the Stadium is a bit longer and slightly more spectacular. The latter also has more water. Due to the soft greens this time the water was not a real issue. Drivingrange is good, but we couldn’t hit from the grass both days. In my opinion asking 4 euro for balls is penny wise, pound foolish. People already pay quite a lot of money for the greenfee and buggy. It feels a bit cheap asking money just to warm up. Another issue: on both courses a buggy is highly recommended. But, you are not allowed to go off the paths. So this means a lot of walking back and forth from your buggy to your ball etc. Does not help pace of play and often pretty annoying. And, I would stop building villa‘s. Building cranes and construction noise are present on quite a few holes and this does not help to ‘wind down‘ and fully enjoy the golf course. The course deserves to be a proper course without too much buildings. In my opinion villa’s can also be built in other areas not directly next to the course. Aside from those issues, playing at PGA remains a delight. Good management, good courses, good clubhouse and a great hotel. We stayed in Camiral ??.

Dear Mr. Jeroen, First of all, thank you very much for your interest and choosing PGA Catalunya Resort during your recent stay in the region. We highly appreciate the detail for taking the time and sharing your comments and opinion about your experience on this webpage. We are thrilled to hear that you have enjoyed your stay at Hotel Camiral and the experience at the Club Café On the other hand we regret to hear that the weather conditions made your game more difficult and time consuming. Also, that we were not able to exceed your expectations this time regarding Driving Range pricing, the buggy usage and the construction works at the surrounding, therefore we are the most disappointed. In order to better understand the situation or if I can be of any personal assistance please do not hesitate to contact me on m. marin@pgacatalunya. com. Myself and the entire team we remain at your disposal and it is our hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back and to provide you with an excellent experience. Sincerely, Miguel Marín Leisure Business Director PGA Catalunya Resort
