Musselburgh Links, Old Course speelt men voor de ervaring: je speelt namelijk de oudste nog te bespelen golfbaan ter wereld. Er bestaat bewijs dat de baan in de 17e eeuw al gebruikt werd, maar vermoed wordt dat de baan al 100 jaar eerder in gebruik was. Oudste golfbaan (9 holes) ter wereld ligt midden in een paardenracebaan. Apart gevoel hier te spelen. Clubhuis is heel modern en net nieuw. Raar voor de oudste baan ter wereld. Redelijk goed onderhoud met prima greens en slechts zo'n 11 km. van het centrum van Edinburgh.

Gespeeld in mei 2010. Een links-baan die zeer matig van kwaliteit is. De baan ligt naast. op en over een paardenrenbaan en heeft dus allerlei rare obstakels en hindernissen. Het is wel de baan waar in het zeer grijze verleden de eerste golfwedstrijd is gespeeld. Ook zou op deze baan de diameter van de holes zijn vastgelegd.
