DaveFinn review of Royal Regina Golf Club

Royal Regina is a prestigious semi-private golf club that opened in 1899. In 2018 it was the host of the Monday Qualifier for the LPGA CP Canadian Open held at Wascana Country Club. To be honest, I found the layout to be relatively flat and not very eventful. It is bordered by railway tracks, the RCMP’s training facility and the nearby airport. The 8th is the most picturesque. A tee shot needs to carry river to a narrow fairway. Your 2nd shot is uphill but do not be left on your tee shot as river runs down the left that is not visible. Prudent move is to use a long iron to the centre of the fairway. Your approach shot has two bunkers in front to protect the green on the left and right side.
