One of the best golf courses in Cape Town, very enjoyable for play and with very nice layout with. Great par 5's along with finishing par 5 18th hole. Again... I don't know what is with South African people (maybe they have 9 lives!) but maintenance staff should move out of play on safe distance when golfers are playing... same thing happened on two other golf courses in the region and I really don't get this! I know they need to get their job done but the bottom line is that they are here because of us and not vice versa. Not only that they can ruin your shot or potentially even the rest of the round but you can seriously injure them or even kill them if they are standing or sitting at the edge of the green without paying much attention to us... and waiting and waving wont help! Despite the drought the golf course was in very good condition. Overall Steenberg is very nice estate with lovely club house, very friendly staff and well stocked pro-shop. Well worth playing if you are in Cape Town!
