The Championship Course
The Championship Course combines features of a Scottish link with fairways and excellent greens the “American Style” as well as natural roughs. Water plays an important role from the first to the 18th hole – sometimes more, sometimes less – but you will never forget that Carinthia is the province of the lakes. Embedded in beautiful landscape and amidst historic buildings, professional players as well as beginners will find unique challenges here. The demanding 18-hole Championship Course with its 6,426 meters is one of the longest courses in Carinthia and is therefore favored by pros. The course may be relatively new (opened in 1997), but is has already been the venue of the International Austrian Amateurs Championships and is ranked 7th in the ranking of Austrian golf courses. In September 2001, the International Matchplay Championships were played here in Klagenfurt. Since 2005, the course has also been a member of the “Leading Golf Courses”.
