In my opinion the Hilversumsche is getting better every year. After the renovations carried out by Kyle Phillips, which are great except some alterations have a small effect on the original design like the green of the ninth and eighteen. But the state of the course/maintenance is really improving. Hilversumsche as a lot of other courses switched to more environmental friendly greenkeeping that results in 2/3 year diminishing quality but is now having a strong comeback. Nature is taking over excellent. They are currently building a new clubhouse but I really like the temporary one. A big wooden structure with excellent view ood the ninth green and the first tee. The service is excellent very friendly and good food, stay for dinner. The holes are designed originally by Harry Colt one of my favorite architects. Love the short par 3 on the back nine also the 8th an other par 3 is nice. There several (semi) blind shots and although the course is not super long good positioning of your drive is essential to get a good score here.
