I like the turf on the fairways, although there are some damages from the winter now. I have played it other times and then it was awesome. It is still early in the season now. The greens are undulated and reasonably fast. It takes some time to learn how to read them, but they are generally in very good condition. The sand in the bunkers are sometimes a bit fluffy, but you have to adept to that. Even though the clubhouse is since the seventies, the atmosphere is friendly and the food is very good. I like both courses. Aroeira 1 is more straight forward than Aroeira 2. The later is more varied and have some more challenges. I have played both courses many times and I like them a lot.
