The golf course is in great condition for April and its second day of season opening. Nice fairways, the balls are rolling. Greens are very nice but still a bit too slow currently... The views in April are one of the best as some peaks are still covered with snow.

The layout is as it is so we can’t change much here though they are improving every year and they are making some modifications on certain holes. The scenery was always nice here. Course was in very good condition for this time of the year. Good fairways and decent greens. Bunkers need some more attention...

Okay 9 holes on completely flat terrain not far from Treviso. The treelined layout is very basic but at the same time quite challenging as the course is quite long - almost 2900m and par 35. Iberostar Cancun golf course is located in Zona Hoteliera next to Nichupté Lagoon so if you are staying in popular Cancun hotel zone, this one is the most centraly located. Playa Mujeres is a very nice golf course located just north of Cancun in Punta Sam which is a developing tourist area about 20 minutes drive from popular Hotel Zone towards Isla Blanca. This Jack Nicklaus signature design is completely flat and yes, left and right is typical Mayan jungle. As much as I respect Mr. Nicklaus as a player and a person, I am not the greatest fan of his golf course designs. I have not yet played a course which I would be like... wow, this is it. Puerto Cancun is very good Tom Weiskopf layout in the Cancun marina area very close to Zona Hoteliera. El Tinto golf course is a part of Cancun Country Club which is another gigantic and very optimistic realestate project "gone wrong" or at least it looks like so... the course is in operation but I had a feeling that there is not much going on here and not many players were out there on the day I played. Iberostar Playa Paraisois located in the heart of Riviera Maya about 30 minutes south of Cancun airport and close to Playa del Carmen. Hard Rock Golf Club, formerly known as Playacar Golf Club is Robert von Hagge layout on a flat terrain but there is some nice land movement coming along with it. St. Lucie Trail is located in Port St. Lucie just across the I-95 from PGA Village. Just about 40 minutes north of Orlando you will find this P.B. Dye links style layout with great undulation and hole landscaping... RedTail GC is lovely property located in Sorrento, just north of Orlando and it is definitely worth a 30-40 minute drive if you are visiting Orlando in winter time when a lot of courses are very busy. Very mixed emotions here... the course is well maintained if we disregard the fact that some cup holes were poorly cut which resulted in a few volcanos. Also some bunkers would need better raking as they were very soft on the surface while they were like a concrete just half an inch underneath.
