On my second visit to Villa Padierna I first went straight off to the driving range, which is located 3 km from the clubhouse and where you can get your balls with 1 EUR coins. I knew the brand ambassador US Open winner Michael Campbell was going to be there, and I had a little chat to him. This time we were going to play the Alferini course, which is the premium course, and known for it's difficulty and length. I must say the course surprised me in a positive way. Admittingly the first 3 holes are very difficult, but after that the course is very playable, and in my opinion fair. Also tees were put well forward. I lost just one ball all day and finished every hole. The surrounding are very pretty. The course was not too busy and we never had to wait on any tee, which was also very nice. Very good signs to the holes, telling you always where to go next. I really appreciated the hospitality at this club, and I can assure you any criticism is not taken lightly. Staff is doing everything to keep customers happy. Would recommend a visit.
