Playing De Haagsche is always a joy. We played it on a hot Tuesday morning and is was fantastic as ever. The majestic clubhouse, the walk up to the first tee and the view of an unspoiled terrain on the top of the hill, it al makes De Haagsche my favourite golf course in the Netherlands. It had been quite some time since I last played the back nine of the course and I forgot how traitorous it was. Fairways are narrow and greens very petite at times. Some may call it unfair but it’s a great test of golf in my humble opinion. The 18th is one hell of a finishing hole with an elevated tee and the clubhouse in the far distance. I would come back here every day if I could!
