Bom Sucesso was nowhere on my list when I was planning my one day trip to Obidos region just north of Lisbon but that golf day was going pretty well so I managed to play West Cliffs and Royal Óbidos by 16h so I drove to near by Bom Sucesso and asked them if I was able to play... I was lucky as the golf course was pretty much empty in late afternoon so I took a buggy and squeezed my third 18 holes in that day in just 2 hours. Donald Steel did a very good job and I must admit that Bom Sucesso surprised me in a very positive way as it certainly has some charm and also quite a few great holes.  Its just that feeling when on some courses it clicks and on some it doesn't even if the course itself is was not in the best of shape. Anyways I like the Bom Sucesso layout, very diverse and quite undulating.  All Par-5 holes are great especially the 17th which is excellent.  My favourite holes are: Par-5 2nd - downhill and dogleg right, Short Par-4 9th with well protected green, dogleg left Par-4 12th,14th and 15th are both good Par-4 holes. And then comes great finish: 16th is short uphill Par-4 in a sort of a canyon, followed by a dogleg left and downhill Par-5 17th with a nice view of Obidos lagoon and Par-4 18th - another downhill dogleg left to flat green which is well protected. I also found out that Bom Sucesso was a Q-School venue. The course condition was good with no major complaints. The staff was very friendly, Pro-Shop has all the necessities and the terrace has a nice view of the 18th hole below. I definitely recommend it if you are in Obidos area.
