Zala Springs was a nice surprise a full size champion golf course which is not so common in Hungary. Designed by the one and only Robert Trent Jones and he did a great job. The course is 6.350 meters from the back tees and if your not ON your driver those long par 4´s will eat you up.. No two holes are a like and many of them will tease you " are you a man or a mouse :-) …

I have played this course recently and must say that I was pleasantly surprised by it. The facilities are really above the standard I was expecting and infinity better then the ones at the Balaton Golf Course, the second one I played in Hungary. Sehr elegante und gut angelegte Golfanlage in der Nähe des Plattensees! Wir spielen gerne diesen Kurs mit freundlicher Betreuung, gepflegte Spielbahnen mit guten Grüns, Restaurant hat leider eine neue Karte - viele "Burgers"...

Zala springs fits the definition of an hidden gem. Located about 2.5 hours from Budapest, Vienna and Zagreb on the south side of the Ballaton lake it is a real treasure. Es ist fast alles gut, zu verbessern ist: 1. Tücher bei den Ballwaschern 2. bessere Wegweiser zum nächsten Tee. 3. Handtücher auf den Toiletten. Aber das ist Kritik auf ganz hohem Niveau. Ich habe eine perfekte wunderschöne Runde gespielt. Trotz Dürre kein brauner Fleck. Der Platz spielt sich leicht ist nur lang.

The studio apartments are between 29-35 m2 in size, the penthouse apartments with one bedroom between 52-79 m2 in size. The majority of the studio apartments have terraces ranging from 8-25 m2 with the penthouse terraces ranging from 61-106 m2. The exclusive apartments and penthouses with their large windows provide amazing views to the lake and golf course. The apartments are elegantly furnished all with king sized double beds, fridge, air conditioning, large flat screen TV-sets and all apartments come with a built-in kitchen corner with tea, coffee and a minibar service. The penthouses all have fully fitted kitchens ideal for longer stays.
