Played league there and the hospitality and overall friendliness was fantastic. The golf course is in fantastic condition.

Banerne i Sydafrika er generelt af god standard og halfway House med forfriskninger er også i top.

Randpark the home of the SA open is beautifully manicured. Fairways are the of the best in RSA whilst the rough keeps you honest. Greens are immaculate with excellent roll.

The Practice facilities, need some work - for a course that’s had floods three times this year, it’s in fantastic condition. Yes the12th we’ve lost the three bunkers in form of the Green which they’re working due to flood damage. It may be my hime course but it’s the Gem of the South!

Beautiful and challenging course. Practice facilities need improvements.

De baan zelf is heel mooi, goed ondehouden met mooie hoogteverschillen maar toch prima te lopen. Kleine minountjes waren de vele hoge appartementen naast sommige holes en wat ik ook vervelend vond is dat je bijna vanaf elke green een flink stuk weer terug moet lopen naar de teebox, in veel gevallen zelfs naar de rode teebox. Maar voor de rest een plezier om te spelen!

Playing from the white tee is still a tough challenge on this beautiful and difficult course. All facilities are in good shape and it will make sure you should be focused for the entire 18 holes. Greens are protected by bunkers and also some fairway bunkers within reach. There are a number of dams, lakes and water hazards around. Hole 12 is the most difficult and green has 75% water around. It is a pleasure to play and if the change fully recommended.

Ik vond dit waanzinnig. Elke hole was een mooi. En ik vond het ook mooi dat je vaak een overzicht had van meerder holes die nabij lagen omdat de 18 holes in een soort kom liggen. Goeie greens, snel ook!

De ontvangst was niet van harte. Personeel hing een beetje rond, geen goedemorgen of enig aanwijzing waar we ons moesten melden. In de proshop was de receptionist met zn telefoon bezig. Eigenlijk geen tijd om ons te woord te staan. Erg onverschillig. Dan voel je je niet echt welkom. Prijs is incl. Buggy Zar 380 p.p. €70, voor 2 personen. Erg mooi clubhuis, met prima faciliteiten. Snelle grote greens. Onderhoud baan heel goed en mooi gelegen met prachtige uitzichten. Vanaf de wijk Bradford view 20 min.

Nice course, nice terrain. Playful and varied holes. Not the nicest surroundings, but the (East) course is beautiful. Nice staff and great clubhouse.

Royal Johannesburg & Kensington Golf Club

Modderfontein Golf Club

Baan ligt in rustige omgeving. Mooie baan, goed onderhouden green en fairways. De rest van de baan is kaal en vooral hobbelig. Modderfontein is een openbare baan en dat is te merken aan de greenfee, aanzienlijk goedkoper dan privébanen. Vooral op de tweede negen holes komen de waterpartijen duidelijk in beeld. Wij speelden op maandag en dan is alleen halfway house open. Baan lijkt makkelijk door brede fairways, maar de hellende ligging ervan maakt diverse holes toch uitdagend. Buggys en caddys aanwezig. Driving range ook gesloten op maandag.

Course Is in good condition. If you play well you can score low on any day.

Op 26 november 2016 deze prachtige baan gespeeld. De general manager was erg vriendelijk en ook het overige personeel was erg gastvrij. Omdat er een clubwedstrijd was, moesten wij op hole 10 starten. Geen probleem, net als hole 1 ligt de teebox van hole 10 pal voor het clubhuis. Op hole 12 komt voor het eerst water in het spel, daarna komt op diverse holes een riviertje in het spel. Goede greens, afwisselende holes, een goed onderhouden baan en voor Europese begrippen een erg goedkope baan (4 greenfees en 2 buggies voor iets meer dan EUR 100). En een groot pluspunt dat de volgende teebox steeds dichtbij was. Na onze ronde kunnen genieten van de echte clubsfeer die op Modderfontein aanwezig is. Veel leden aanwezig bij de prijsuitreiking van de clubwedstrijd onder het genot van een drankje. Op het verhoogde terras een prachtig uitzicht op de greens van hole 9 en hole 18.

Waterkloof

Joué par hasard car le Pretoria Country Club était fermé le lundi (jour de maintenance). Accueil très agréable! Rapport qualité prix incroyable! Le parcours est joli sans plus mais très golfique. Ce n’est sans doute pas le plus beau Parcours de Pretoria mais un golf très sympathique!

These people are very snobbish. They judge you as you walk into the club. Give you funny looks. Also way too expensive.

Wat een prachtige 18 holes golfbaan, gelegen in een resort. Lekker rustig want er zijn zoveel golfbanen. Kosten voor 2p plus buggy 500Rand. Voor onze begrippen dus een koopje. Afwisselende baan zonder extreme verrassingen of moeilijkheden, gewoon lekker spelen. Prachtig onderhouden en prima clubhuis met mooi uitzicht. Een aanrader! Leuk detail: de teemarkers hebben de shape van het Voortrekkersmonument.

Eagle Canyon Golf Estate

Prachtige baan ontstaan uit een afgraving. Greenfee is meer dan schappelijk. Route is slecht aangegeven, veel zoeken dus. Baan is uitdagend door moeilijke waterhindernissen, hellende ligging van de baan en lengte van de holes. Het resort geeft bij aankomst de indruk dat je douane controle ondergaat! Zeker de moeite waard om te spelen.

It was a good experience. If they can have bent grass greens it would be a lot better though.

Eagle Canyon located in the NW of Jo-burg has a 18 holes in-land links course with views on the Magalies mountains. It is a change to the many parkland courses Jo-burg has on offer to play. This course has no trees, is wide open and greens and fairways are harder and undulated. They have even given all the holes a name which is quite normal at real links courses. Their are many holes with water in front of the green Hole 3,4,15,16) so big decisions to be taken, "go for it or lay-up" Overall a nice course to play not much wind lots of water and bunkers. If your game is struggling they have a nice golf academy and you can book a lesson if wanted and therefore nice practice facilities. Worth a visit and greenfee modest. Please not that their are no trolley's but only golf-cart available.

Bryanston Golf Course

Prachtige parkbaan met grootse uitstraling. Enorm goed onderhouden. Veel behulpzame en kundige caddies aanwezig. Baan is uitdagend door moeilijke en grote greens, moeilijke waterpartijen en lastige glooiingen. Restaurant is prima. Proshop goed uitgerust en behulpzasm, kundig personeel. Verder tennismogelijkheden, kindvriendelijk en zwembad aanwezig. Kortom een dagvullende gezinsactiviteit.

Golf course is great and the caddys are excellent. Halfway house has been redone and it's stunning, hot fresh meals. The downside is the reasturant attached to the bar, the food is not fresh, they are pre-prepared and tasteless. Would not recommend going for food there

Prachtige parkbaan in Sandton met een aantal waterhindernissen. Bryanston is een van de 'oude' banen, wat ook de golf club ook uitstraalt. Faciliteiten zijn mooi met grote driving range. Bryanston beschikt over een uitgebreide proshop en een uitgebreid restaurant. Aangezien ik op uitnodiging van een lid speelde kan ik onvoldoende beoordelen hoe ontvangst van greenfee spelers is.

Championship course

Course is in okay condition, practice facilities fantastic, the General feeling of hospitality both from the Proshop and the Restaurant, was you shouldn’t be there it’s for members only- if they worked on their ability to show some friendliness it would be an awesome place to spend more time playing.

This course makes a point of letting the locals know they are not welcome, it is overpriced and while the surroundings are extremely beautiful the greens were not up to any championship standard they were quite slow and not true.

Not always friendly. But course is amaizing to play.
