Sunningdale Golf Club: Omdömen

An absolute Gem! As close to feeling like a pro you can get.

I wanted to play Sunningdale for a long time and today I could play both courses. I only can say than waiting so long was really worth. One of the best places I’ve been playing golf. Particullary in love with the Old Course, but The New is also sooooo good and maybe more challenging. Good firm greens in a good speed, perfectly shaped bunkers... nothing bad to say abou… Mer

Sunningdale, or should we say 'Stunningdale' is one of a kind. I played a lot of heathland courses in the Surrey region, but Sunnindale is top of the list. Every hole is an aesthetic feast. Great maintenance, lay-out and facilities. Just magical!

6e dag van onze golftrip. En wat een dag. Het wordt steeds moeilijker om golfbanen te ranken naarmate je er meer speelt (hoe vergelijk je wat) maar dit was absoluut het hoogtepunt van onze golfreis. Ja Sunningdale is niet goedkoop en ongetwijfeld zit er in de greenfeeprijs een hoop naam, traditie en exclusiviteit verwerkt. Ze hebben 2 golfbanen waar naar mijn mening zeker… Mer

Wat een schitterende baan is dit! Prachtig gelegen in heuvelachtig heidelandschap. Top layout (beide courses). Allers dik in orde en de typisch Britse chique uitstraling. Fantastische greens. The old course is wat makkelijker te spelen. De New course is voor longhitters, maar ook goed te doen. Helaas hadden de fairways nog last van de droogte van vorig jaar. Maar verder… Mer

Having read so many reviews on Sunningdale, it was probable the course was never going to live up to the hype. The clubhouse was very old fashioned which had its charms but IMO definitely needed revamping. It may be that we played the course on a wet and windy day but I can think of numerous courses which are in the same league and significantly cheaper!

Where do I start? First of all I'm a great fan of Harry Colt courses, the one I play the most is De Pan in Utrecht, The Netherlands that course is squeezed into about 50 hectares, the courses at Sunningdale absolutely not. This place oozes class and history, the par 4 oth and par 5 10th the pick of the holes for me! Have your wits about you, plays so fast you must be straight or else!

Après Swinley Forest et Wentworth West & East j'ai eu la chance d'enchainer avec le parcours Old Sunningdale et ce fut un veritable enchantement. Le parcours est vraiment mythique avec son arbre et son club house mais aussi un design parfait avec beaucoup de stratégie et de l'exécution. I feel very privileged to be able to play here now and then. Both the Old and New are amazing golf course that require a lot of thought. The 7th on the Old is one of my favourite holes anywhere.

Beautiful course! Condition was fantastic and good test off the back tees.

Prachtige baan getekend door H. COLT. Behoort tot de wereld top 100. Doorheen een bosrijk duinenlandschap heeft Colt een layout gebracht die perfect aansluit met de natuurlijke obstakels. Sunningdale is a great golf club with two fantastic heathland golf courses. I was expecting something special on my first ever trip to Sunningdale and it didn't let me down. Sunningdale GC behoort tot de grote golfclubs rond Londen. Ontworpen door H. Colt. Golvende baan doorheen een heidelandschap met zandgrond en pijnbomen. Moeilijk om een behoorlijke score neer te zetten. Elke vergissing wordt haast definitief afgestraft. Greens zijn uitzonderlijk goed. Veel variatie en prachtige landschappen. Op de Old en de New gespeeld op een stormachtige dag met windvlagen die mij en mijn bal alle kanten op duwde. Ondanks de hoge prijs ben ik tevreden met hebben gespeeld van beide banen. Un des meilleurs golfs que j'ai eu la chance de visiter. L’architecture et l’ambiance surannée sont une pure merveille. Véritable parcours de bruyère, il faut visiter cette institution. Le parcours est difficile mais pas trop. Parcours joué : le new course.
