Close to the Spanish border and Bayonne / Biarritz in France, the Seignosse golf course was elected best golf course in France by English operators and 15th European golf course by the magazine "Golf World".
The 18-hole course of the Seignosse golf club was designed by the American architect Robert Van Hagge. Known by many players, it has a unique layout. Een schitterende baan. Redelijk uitdagend, vanwege relatief veel water en diepe bunkers, maar ook omdat je bijna nergens vlak staat. Mooie greens die razend snel zijn. Wat vaker een marshal in de baan zou helpen. Lang vastgezeten achter een vierbal die rustig de tijd nam om opnieuw te slaan.

Mooie golfbaan in heuvelachtig gebied. Zwaar te lopen maar dat maakt de baan uitdagend. Baan is goed onderhouden greens zijn snel. Afstand tussen holes is lang maar goed aangegeven. Buggy is wel raadzaam. kleedruimtes en douches zijn uitstekend als ook het clubhuis voor de nazit.
Greenfee is stuk duurder dan online aangegeven (ook eigen website klopt niet).

Très joli parcours, très vallonné avec plein de bosses, des dévers dans tous les sens, des fairways très étroits bordés d’arbres, plusieurs points d’eau : assez difficile et technique.
Dommage qu’il soit si peu entretenu avec certes les dégâts causés par les sangliers mais aussi de très nombreux divots non replacés, des pitchs non relevés.. bref faisant et greens en mauv…
