About The International
Topgolfer Ian Woosnam (Ryder Cup Captain and winner of the US Masters) in cooperation with Mastergolf designed the golfcourse of Amsterdam International. The golfcourse will be built on an undulating piece of land and this championship course will be playable by golfers of all levels. The course is very close to Schiphol International Airport. The golfcourse is still under construction.

De baan lag er ondanks de natte omstandigheden goed bij. Greens goed onderhouden en de fairways zeer goed bespeelbaar. Gastvrijheid in clubhuis hoog, voelde mij als gast zeer welkom.

Donderdag 29 augustus de baan mogen spelen op uitnodiging. We speelden met een groep van 30 voor het Antoni van Leeuwenhoek ziekenhuis.
De baan lag er vlak voor het KLM Open er fantastisch bij, fairways en greens waren fenomenaal. De rough erg hoog. Veel verschillende holes. Lange en korte par 3 en 4, doglegs, hoogte verschillen, water.

Elke keer fantastisch arriveren, alles tot de puntjes verzorgd qua hospitaliteit. Door de baan is de uitwerking van het KLM Open duidelijk merkbaar. De baan is volledig kaalgetrokken. Voordeel: geen lost balls meer, betere saves uit de rough mogelijk. Nadeel: verliest zichtlijnen en karakter.
Echter daar waar andere top-10 banen hun greens als biljartlakens weten te pres…
