About Golf De Touraine

Our 18 hole golf course at Ballan-Miré, in the heart of the Chateau country in the Touraine region, was designed by an English architect Michael Fenn in 1971 assisted by one of its members Gerard Crouzat-Reynes, ex-President of the National Sports Commission of the French Golf Federation. The main features are its technical difficulty and the quality of the upkeep of the golf course. Through the undulating and tree lined fairways, are to be found several entirely natural water hazards. The beautifully kept fairways manicured over the years, with its small and rapid greens.

Op mijn reis door Frankrijk op deze baan in de omgeving Tours gespeeld. Franstalige receptie, maar ze deden enorm hun best om me van dienst te zijn. De baan is mooi aangelegd. Smalle, uitdagende fairways en onvoorspelbare greens. Omdat ik alleen speelde werd ik vriendelijk doorgelaten met iedere keer een praatje (in gebrekkig Frans). De baan heeft een mooi heuvelachtig parcours en is fijn te bespelen. De bunkers hebben zwaar zand en daardoor zijn ze moeilijker.

Joué lors d'un Interclubs, j'ai apprécié ce parcours compact, mais très bien dessiné. Certains départs et greens méritent de s'y arrêter pour profiter du point de vue. L'entretien du parcours est irréprochable, les installations de practice au top, l'accueil et la restauration impeccables. Certainement le plus beau golf de la région. A faire absolument.
