Gardagolf Country Club is spread out over 110 hectares, the golf course was designed by British architects Cotton, Pennick, Steel & Partners. The Gardagolf County Club offers 27 holes nestled between the Rocca di Manerba, Soiano Castle and the Valtenesi hills, offering an extraordinarily beautiful panorama. Cypresses, olive trees, centuries-old oaks, pines and holm oaks complete the setting.
The temptation to stop and admire the scenery can be overwhelming, but make sure you don’t get too distracted, as the Gardagolf Country Club course is extremely challenging.

Prima ontvangst, leuke serveerster en ober in restaurant. Diverse plaatsen op terras met en zonder schaduw. Alle 3 de lussen gespeeld. De gele is de mindere, maar nog steeds goed. Fairways dik in orde, T-boxen soms wat kaal. De greens waren er zacht... of beten goed waarschijnlijk vanwege het noodweer enkele dagen ervoor. Oefenfaciliteiten prima.

De golfclub ligt prachtig op een hang van een heuvel met hier en daar uitzicht op het Gardameer. De toerit, entree, clubhuis, caddymaster/bagdrop alles heel imposant. Daarbij nog de typisch Italiaanse flora met olijfbomen en de hoge coniferen, maken het plaatje compleet.
De baan is helaas in mindere staat, en het is moeilijk voor te stellen dat hier vorig jaar the Italia…
