A golf course for golfers who prefer nature, for those who respect the land and who wish to share unique and magic moments. Salgados Golf Course is located at Herdade dos Salgados, close to Albufeira. Next to Salgados Beach and Salgados Lagoon Nature Reserve, linking the dunes to the sea. This is a shelter for various bird species, some under threat of extinction. The golf course offers golfers a unique experience with impressive views over the ocean while enjoying unique bird life. We recommend walking the course, as it is simple, beautiful and almost always flat. Salgados is a very technical golf course. Due to the changing wind this course is never the same. Here, almost all the holes are flanked by lagoons and one (number 6) is considered one of the most difficult of the world, as it has a lot of water and is very long.

Clubhuis beetje kleurloos. Baan voor tactisch golf. Overal water dat nauwkeurig en doordacht spel vereist. Goede greens, maar niet erg snel. Informatieborden op de holes geven geen afstandsinformatie tot hindernissen, dat is gemis. Goedkope clubshuur, goed geregeld. Leuke combi aanbiedingen met buggy en huur van clubs.

Baan van uitersten. Goed onderhouden baan, altijd water om rekening mee te houden. Weinig sfeer, te commercieel en ongezellig. We betaalden de volle mep en onze golfcard werd niet geaccepteerd. Receptioniste aan de balie was erg kortaf. Geen service, meer zo van zoek het maar uit. De baan zelf was goed en leverde een goed rondje golf op. Volgende keer geen Salgados meer. …

Parcours plat, greens faciles, pas de pente. Entretien très bon. Golf tout public, se joue facilement. Concernant l'eau, elle est présente partout sur tous les trous. Je suis étonné a la lecture des avis précédents, car l'eau est en jeu sur tous les coups pour qui veut jouer son index, qui plus est les jours de vents.

Very demanding course due to the constant water. Need to be on your best golf in order to score well. In general the course was in great conditions, pity the absence of driving range. Due to bad weather didnt manage to finish the round, but it didn't ruin the experience. Caddymaster was very helpful in order to avoid slow groups in front.

The Salgados is a flat parkcourse located near the beach. The greens are surrounded by palmtrees and water. The waterponds hardly come in the game and most of them cannot be considered as water hazards. However due to its location behind the beach wind is an important factor.
