A winning blend of natural beauty and golfing adventure, the three championship golf courses at Gleneagles are regarded among the very best golf courses in the world. The inspiration of two of the greatest names in the game, five times Open winner James Braid and the Golden Bear himself Jack Nicklaus, the courses offer tantalising challenges for all levels of player. Golf is at the very heart of Gleneagles with it's three championship golf courses and Scotland’s PGA National Golf Academy. The PGA Centenary Course is the host venue for the 2014 Ryder Cup. There has been golf at Gleneagles longer than the Hotel’s 90 year history, with the first course – The King’s Course – dating back to 1919, but this longevity has driven us to develop some of the best courses and coaching in the world. From the professionals at the very top of the game, to keen amateurs and those just starting out, generations of golfers have experienced the game at Gleneagles, with many more to come.
