Merapi Golf Yogyakarta

The greens are impossible to read most of the time and there are a lot of blind shots. Furthermore, it is very unforgiven. Fairways are quite wide but when you mis-hit, you end up in the jungle. I wasn't really impressed by my caddy. She helped a lot on the green, but she didn't have a clue about the distances on the course. You have to play here several times to come to a realistic score. It is very challenging and the views are awesome. I would definitely recommend it.

Interesting Course lay out in the vicinity of the Merapi Vulcan. The course currently stone hard and the greens not good and slow. Surrounding in bad shape and not taken care off. Maintenance not on high level. The golf cart are allowed into the course. Good and friendly female caddies. Clubhouse not very nice but locker and shower room ok. Despite some shortcomings it is worth to visit and play.

Leuk om een keer op zo'n baan te spelen, met caddy, en buggy, echter ook met gehuurde clubs. Zeker met dit huursetje was het erg lastig, en duurde het een tijdje voor je een beetje gewend bent. Het leek alsof de caddy erg veel haast had, ondanks dat we de enige gasten op de baan waren. Wellicht iets te maken met de Ramadan. De baan is mooi aangelegd, maar de greens zijn niet te lezen. Soms leek het of de ballen naar boven rolden. Op zo'n moment is een caddy wel erg handig. Gewoon doen wat zij zegt.

Pas mal. Pas de chance : pas de vue sur le Merapi le jour où on est allé joué. Cela reste un bon parcours, le matériel est correct.

Quite good. Unlickely, no view on the merapi on our day, but still a good place in Java.

Adembenemende vergezichten met op de achtergrond vulkaan Merapi. De golfbaan ligt goed bij, echter de green hadden niet allemaal dezelfde snelheid. Mijn caddie was net een maand aan het werk en kende helaas de baan nog niet goed.

Greenfee (incl caddie en buggy) zijn acceptabel, 40% goedkoper dan op Bali.

Het is ongeveer een klein uurtje rijden vanuit Yogyakarta-centrum.
