En sinnsykt strøken bane, med en kul layout. Dette er en skjult perle i skogen i Kongsvinger. Må være en av de beste fairwayene jeg har spilt på Norge i år. Greenene holder også en veldig høy standard. Hyggelig personell og gode vafler også :) Dette er en bane jeg helt klart kommer til å spille igjen.

What an absolute steal! At NOK 600 for prime time weekend tee times, I'd guess that very few courses can offer similarly great value for money. Clearly the best course in Norway and one of the best in Scandinavia, it's truly a gem. With sandy soil and heather, it reminds you of classic South-English courses like Sunningdale and St Georges Hill, mixed with the vast scale of more modern US-style courses. Thanks to Swedish architect Peter Nordwall, there are many memorable holes at Kongsvinger, but the one that typically stands out the most is the par 5 12th, where your tee shot often ends up in this massive canyon on the right. You then have to navigate a bit of fairway that snakes in this reversed S-shape into a massively raised green. Fantastic fun and super challenging!

It's very scenic so I'd give it 4 stars! But we talked to the greenkeeper before we tee'd off and he said no one would ever build a golf course in this area nowadays... This is a freezer during winter and to get this into acceptable standard during the golf season is hard... Well beginning of June we can only agree with him. It is hilly with pine forest all around every hole unless there is a tiny lake to mess with your ball... Every hole is by it self so no one will disturb your three putt or your clubthrowing tantred which makes this a really exclusive round of golf. Well the greens were lovely but did not roll nicely, June is not the time to come here.. After midsummer is better with probably all the mosquitos.. well you can not have everything:) Worth playing? Well back tee 6250 difficult..., mens tee 5830 manageable, ladies back tee 5400 playable, ladies 5100 still hard... Juniors tee 3800 and that's where I should've played from! Hospitality were great so definitely worth getting here!
