Forest of Arden Marriott Hotel & Country Club

Played end of March in very wet conditions. Received 30% off greenfees to compensate. Beautiful forest / park, with deer roaming freely. Overall very good course with spectacular finish.

Staff in pro shop unfriendly & un professional.

Course ok but certainly not worth the money.

Rip off! 40 pounds to hire buggy,15 pounds to hire trolley!

Big corporate course, conveyor belt of golfers, in personal.

Would not recommend to anyone.

The Arden course is een leuke baan. Op de eerste 9 holes vind ik een paar holes (1,2 en 9) tussen zitten die een beetje afwijken van het geheel. Zijn wat eenvoudigere holes die lay-out technische meer in het geheel mogen passen. Ik vond het in zijn gehéél wel een leuke uitdagende goed onderhouden baan met een mooie omgeving. Wat vooral speciaal is, zijn de herten die vrij over een aantal holes lopen op de back nine. Hier zitten ook een aantal holes, die ik mij nog van vroeger herinnerde van de televisie toen de European Tour deze baan nog op de kalender had. Leuke uitdagende holes waar je risico kan nemen voor een birdie of eagle. Ondanks dat het weer die dag niet geweldig was, erg genoten van de baan en omgeving. Prijs-kwaliteit is erg goed!

The Arden Course at the Forest of Arden resort is a challenging course in superb condition. The wildlife and scenery, especially on the back nine are fantastic.

A round on the main Arden course – there is also the par 69 Aylesford course - is very much a tale of two halves and allows you to walk in the footsteps of the stars of the game who competed here just before and after the turn of the millennium. You can count Colin Montgomerie and Darren Clarke amongst the champions crowned here.

The round closes with the famous par-three played across one of the many lakes that you will come across during your round, however, of all the short holes I actually prefer the 15th which has the option of several interesting pin locations.
