Greens have been hard hit this year in Belgium.

They have two 18 holes. Some say Le Lion is easier, and others say La Marache is. I play both of them depending upon the availability and how crowed on that day. Both courses are beautifully maintained, give no real difficulties. Greens are large and no big slops so you can make the green on regulation, you should not have problems. Wij waren redelijk vroeg en het restaurant ging pas om 10 uur open. Dat was wel jammer maar gezien het aantal mensen dat aanwezig was wel begrijpelijk. Mensen zijn zeer vriendelijk. Gezien het feit dat ik geen Frans spreek en een aantal medewerkers geen Engels was communiceren soms wat lastig maar dat heeft ook wel weer zijn charme als iedereen van goede wil is. Mijn dag … Plus

Wat een prachtige baan! Uitdagende holes, heel verschillend, veel hoogteverschillen, hele snelle greens, super onderhouden. Hele vriendelijke ontvangst, prima gegeten en hele aardige bediening. Kleedkamers zijn wat gedateerd maar prima.

Dame bij de receptie was niet bijzonder vriendelijk. Ook in het clubhuis was de bediening matig qua vriendelijkheid. De lay-out van de baan is heel mooi, lastig door de hoogte verschillen. De greens waren niet in topconditie. Verder wel erg rustig. Fairways waren prima.

Gespeeld op een Audi quattro cup, Al veel positieve reacties over gehoord en de baan heeft ons niet teleurgesteld! Driving range (op gras) is op 'markers' op palen, in de vallei, moeilijk afstand in te schatten. Baan (La Marache) ziet er piekfijn uit. Weinig gras-sprietjes die verkeerde staan. Ondanks de al lang lopende droogte in Belgie worden de greens en teeboxen goed nat gehouden. Ook grote stukken van de fairways krijgen een drankje wat het spelen een stuk aangenamer maakt dan het spelen op The National gisteren. Le Lion zeker de moeite waard om te spelen. Door de droogte stuiteren de ballen lekker door waardoor veel parren 4 in 2 slagen te halen zijn. Mor… Plus

I only played La Marache course which was designed by Fred Hawtree and opened for play in 1960. This par 73 beauty measures 6,296 meters from the tips and it is considered as one of the best golf courses in Belgium, deservedly so. Some of the greatest players of our game have played here, among them Arnold Palmer, Gary Player, Jose-Maria Olazabal, Nick Faldo and Severiano… Plus

I play here on a beautiful sunny day in september with no wind, no rain! Driving range with free balls is always a winner and a good policy. Both courses have their own putting greens, so putt on the green on the course that you are playing, as the grass is different on both courses! Played at Waterloo during the Legends Classic competition. Great location and when you look out from the great panoramic view of the clubhouse, you could say it's a flat terrain, well, don't be mistaken, it has some very interesting holes.
