Golf & Country Club de Maison Blanche

Nestling between the western end of Lake Geneva and the Jura Mountains, and straddling the French-Swiss border, you'll find a small but excellent collection of championship golf courses. Together with the imperious Domaine Imperial, one of the best is Maison Blanche. Like neighbouring Divonne and Bonmont, this is a layout that offers wonderful views of the forested Jura range, while your golf game is given an enjoyable but thorough examination. Occupying partly-open and partly-wooded terrain in a quiet and wonderfully natural location, many holes include some degree of elevation change. The generally good-width fairways will give long hitters confidence from the tee, but trees and long, uncompromising grass awaits anything hit too far offline. Maison Blanche's combination of a wonderfully scenic, natural and well laid-out course, seems to combine with its proximity to Geneva to make this one of the area's busiest member-courses. As a weekday visitor, you'll certainly need to check for tee-time availability before rolling-up, and, like many courses around Geneva, be prepared to pay a fairly hefty green fee.Plus
