In my humble opinion one of the best golf courses in The Netherlands. And a lot of other golfers on Leadingcourses agree with me as this course and club have been nr 1 in The Netherlands for many years in a row. We played Son Muntaner, but there are two other courses: Son Vida (first course in Mallorca) and Son Quint. They all are part of Arabella Golf. It's difficult to review Son Gual, as we played here just after a few days of very heavy rain. Buggy's were not allowed on the course as a result of that, although they allowed one injured friend to use a buggy, which was very nice. Staff is very friendly and helpful. We played Son Servera on Saturday, the first of three 'Son' courses (Son Servera, Son Gual and Son Muntaner) we played on Mallorca. Really nice and warm welcome here. This is a really good golf course, quite some variation in length and type of holes. Some difficult par 3’s (we played from the white tees). The clubhouse is nice and modern and the way up to the clubhouse is nicely maintained with lush green grass. The course itself is also kept in great condition, also considering the climate here. Hier op zaterdag gespeeld (speciale zomerdeal) met een paar collega's van Leadingcourses. Aanrijden is wat onwenning, je hebt niet direct het gevoel dat je op de juiste weg zit naar de golfbaan. Soestduinen is a very nice par 3 course and since a few years they are investing a lot in the facilities and golf course itself. Great to see that! They just revamped hole 3 (new bunkers on the right) to prevent people to hit the buildings. Always nice to play here, good greens, with some nice holes. This is a really nice 9 hole par 32 golf course with some good holes (no par 5 though). The location is unique with some great views on the sea and red cliffs. El Rompido Resort is a nice resort. Good rooms and decent courses. The resort is frequented by a lot of English golfers and if I say it is semi-all inclusive (free drinks after 17.00) then you get the picture. Not really my cup of tea. Then the course. Played here years ago. Since then the course has improved in terms of maintenance. Fairways and greens good (only green of hole 4 has some real issues, but the club knows this), tees were among the best we played during our trip where we played 8 courses. Quinta do Vale is a Seve Ballesteros design, so expect a lot of risk/reward decisions and it has 6 par 5,6 par 4 and 6… Plus

For some reason my expectations were not very high, but the course is true and enjoyable. It’s a typical resort course, so not too difficult, not too easy and proper maintenance.
