Little gem just outside Lagos and reminded me a bit of Monte Rei. No, it's not Monte Rei yet, it's more the little brother that needs to grow up a bit. Golfbaan ligt mooi, vlakbij Sirolo en Numana. Beide prachtige dorpjes en met mooie stranden. Toen wij er waren was het behoorlijk druk (1 mei, dag van de arbeid). Greens zagen er prima uit, fairways ook. Niet een hele spannende golfbaan qua design. Wel wat hoogteverschillen. Ouderen raad ik een buggy aan. Clubhuis had niet heel veel ambiance. Mensen wel aardig.

Arriving at Tespelduyn is a bit confusing. You see a drivingrange on the left, some short holes on the right, some signs on the right which prohibit you from parking, you see some houses on the left and then you park you car behind a large barrack. Leuke en mooi gelegen golfbaan tegen de bossen aan. Er is veel gebeurd de laatste jaren en men blijft investeren. Erg knap. Ik vind het een leuke baan om mijn korte werk te oefenen (wedges). Lastige par-3 baan die je twee keer van verschillende matten kunt spelen. Baan om je korte spel te oefenen. Veel water (slootjes) dus je moet recht slaan. Really great golf complex with a golf lodge which enables you to stay here and play all three loops (yellow, red and white). The layout is nice, the course is not too demanding but never dull. Homecourse is een nieuw indoorgolfcentrum in Utrecht en biedt 6 TRUgolf simulatoren. Het centrum oogt nog wat leeg, maar daar komt snel verandering in begrepen wij. Played here during the IGTM conference. Course was in good condition and this is probably a typical Austrian course. Hilly, proper maintenance and not too difficult. Kroonprins Vianen is a new development in The Netherlands and could be a beauty, but it needs some time to mature. The new greens are quite different in speed. Driving up to The Island GC is great. A winding road along an estuary with Malahide on the other coast. This club is great to play last as it is close to Dublin Airport (15 minutes). Howth GC is not as famous as the other courses nearby (Portmarnock GC, Portmarnock Hotel, The Island and Royal Dublin) but it is well worth the visit.
