The Laguna Golf Course has earned a reputation as being a somewhat unique offering within the Vilamoura golf portfolio. While its many water hazards and few trees set it apart, it truly finds its individuality in the number of holes which convey characteristics of a traditional links layout. American golf course architect Joseph Lee was given the responsibility for setting out the Laguna Golf Course over low-lying coastal terrain, and in this setting was able to establish 18 holes which offer a wide variety of playing conditions. The course has been continually improved since the first ball was struck in 1990, although it retains all of the appeal of a modern test of golf, through which the strategic positioning of bunkers and a number of water obstacles demand accuracy of play. The Laguna Golf Course shares a well-proportioned and welcoming clubhouse with the neighbouring Millennium Golf Course.

One of a kind in Vilamoura's golf courses. Many big bunkers and small greens become tough targets to hit on some holes. You will come across with some bunker shots for up n down here for sure and be wary of the many hazards/lakes that are this course's main weapon. Compared to other resort courses id say this is the best for price and what you get for it. Very nice fairways from what i remember and greens.
Acessible and worthy of a good round of golf.

Suite au Covid19, j'ai dû annuler mes réservations pour jouer au Laguna Golf et je regrette que Laguna Golf, dans le cas d'une annulation pour de telles circonstances et devant la fermeture du parcours suite décision des Autorités Portugaises et Belges, refuse de rembourser la totalité du montant déjà payé.
Geste totalement anti-commercial, dénué d'humanité et politique uniquement orienté vers un profit immérité
Il y a des circonstances qui demandent parfois un peu de bon sens et de compréhension.
Interessanter Golfplatz mit einigen Wasserhindernissen die ein sehr genaues Spiel verlangen. Spielgeschwindigkeit bei unserer Runde sehr niedrig.

Een mooie dag om te spelen.
De aankomst was prima. Na wat zoeken toch een parkeerplek gevonden. Even zelf kijken waar je moet zijn en dan door. De bediening in het restaurant was vriendelijk maar rondom de baan viel dit wat tegen. Bij het halen van de buggy krijg je al snel het gevoel dat men het te druk had en geen moeite voor je wil doen. Jammer.
Het inslaan op de drivingrange was prima. Mooie afslag plek en een leuk uitzicht.
De uitstraling van de baan was iets minder. Iet of wat rommelig zoals veel slechte wegen tussen de holes en geen bakje om je tee te droppen na de afslag. Een rommeltje om de TEE.
Verder de baan: in een woord geweldig! Je moet na denken en genieten. Heerlijk kunnen spelen. Wel jammer dat het druk was met wandelaars waardoor je met een buggy snel achterop komt. Wellicht een idee om over na te denken bij het indelen van de starttijden.
Verder genoten van de dag.

18 bucheLaid out over low lying coastal terrain, this course, with its many water hazards and few trees, is considerably different from the other ones in Vilamoura and many of its holes convey a links atmosphere. Golf architect Joseph Lee designed this course which opened in 1990 and many previous visitors will recognise it as part of the former 27 hole Vilamoura III course. It has been subject to continual improvements over the years. Measuring 6121m from the white tees, the par 72 course includes several lakes which influence play on a total of 11 holes. In addition to acting as hazards and emergency water reservoirs, these lakes serve a useful purpose in attracting a variety of aquatic birds, both resident and migratory, as well as amphibians, otters and terrapins.
