The first of two Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Courses - "Monte Rei North" - opened for play in June 2007. This par 72 Championship golf course measuring 6567m from the Tournament tees is a truly unique design; with water coming into play on eleven of the eighteen holes, the golf course features an enjoyable series of eight par-4s, five par-3s and five par-5s in a challenging and distinctive layout.

- a 25 year non-resident golf title.
- a family membership (Available for resident families only).

Associate membership offers a unique and attractive way to enjoy the Monte Rei golf Experience and Club facilities prior to upgrading to a Golf Title membership, available for either a one or two year period.

Dit is een van die golfbanen waar alles gewoon klopt! Schitterend clubhuis met zeer vriendelijk personeel. Oefenfaciliteiten zijn super, dus heerlijk om daar vooraf even lekker warm te draaien. De baan is lekker uitdagend en lag er zeer mooi bij.
Wij gaan hier zeker terug komen!

Monte rei is een topclub zoals aangegeven. Wij hadden enkel het ongeluk dat het enorm begon te gieten nadat we amper vertrokken waren. Zo drastisch dat er meteen water op de baan bleef staan. We zijn dan ook gestopt omdat spelen gewoonweg niet ging... de paadjes zijn netjes afgelijnd zoals in terre blanche... de greens, bunkers... allemaal top. Enkel ook hier het gekende …

Wat een belevenis om zo'n baan te spelen.
T-boxen lagen mooi hoog, wat ook prachtige uitzichten gaf.
De greens worden goed "beschermd" door bunkers. Aan te raden om de bunkers te vermijden want die zijn behoorlijk hoog.
De rust, het geluid van de vogeltjes, de natuur. Top!
Tuurlijk is het een serieus bedrag, de greenfee, maar daar krijg je ook wat voor.

Alles klopt hier gewoon, niets op aan te merken. De baan is werkelijk geweldig en geen enkele hole is hetzelfde. Als je naar een verbeterpuntje moet zoeken is het enige wat ik kan bedenken het meubilair op het terras.

This is my favourite course I’ve ever played. I’ve played all over Europe and caddied for my brother when he was a European Tour player and I’ve never seen anything to match this, YET!
It’s very expensive BUT it’s an experience. The only Jack Nicklaus course in Portugal and they start the South course soon.
