Leven Links Golf Club

It's a privilege to be a member of Leven Thistle Golf Club and be able to play Leven Links. The Links at Leven is as traditional as they come and with great course staff it just keeps getting better. This is a must play golf course when visiting Fife, The Home of Golf.

Having played top courses around the world Leven is right up there along with the very best, recently played the course in early December, the tee boxes, fairways and greens were all in great condition (we did however use mats on the fairway), the course is a challenge for low handicappers particularly the 18th which has the reputation of being the second hardest hole to play in Scotland!

The clubhouse very well situated giving a great view of the 18th and the Firth of Forth, lunch was Scottish cuisine washed down with an excellent beer.

5 star recommendation for facilities, course and the folks on the course.

Vi fik en god modtagelse i shoppen. Banen er en klassisk linksbane lige ud til Firth of Forth. Ingen driving range, men det kunne vi leve med. Efter runden fik vi kaffe i restauranten, flink og dygtig betjening.

Prachtige klassieke links course aan de zuidkant van Fife. Zoals gebruikelijk in Schotland, geen driving range, een kleine putting green maar wel een hartelijke ontvangst en een stevig bries uit zee. De eerste paar holes lopen langs zee. De baan heeft mooie grote greens met lastige bunkers. De prachtige hole 16 loopt het dorp in, hole 17 gaat weer terug en de lange moeilijke hole 18 geeft tegen het einde een lastige binnenkomst. De burn voor de green is geen makkie, zeker niet als de vlag voorop staat. Carnoustie 18 komt in de buurt.

Mooie oude links baan strak langs de kust. Smalle fairways en moeilijke rough maar mooie strakke en snelle greens.

Eerste 9 hole lopen op de laatste 9 heen en soms wat dicht op elkaar. Clubhuis echt Schots en vriendelijke caddymaster. Hole 19 prima met mooi uitzicht op tee 1 en green van 18. Greenfee via golf now uk erg voordelig. Een aanrader om te spelen.
