mooie golfbaan! Voor het eerst in 10 jaar nog eens gespeeld, en alle positieve herinneringen van 2010 kwamen meteen weer terug. Geweldig en ruim opgezet, maar vooral uitstekend onderhouden. Speelde met een van de lokale helden die me alle shortcuts en mooie lijnen naar de green influisterde. Mooie score (althans voor een bogey speler). Clubhuis met een geweldig terras en mooie lunchkaart.

In the south of Dubai and close to the Marina and Palm Island of Jumeirah the Montgomerie golf course is constructed. The course is surrounded by the villas of the Lakes and Spring and the driving range is often used for local activities. The practice facilities are very good and large and advised to used them especial the green to avoid the famous 3-putt during the round. Golf-cart are mandatory to ensure to complete your round within 4 hours. The 18 holes course is not that long but because of the many water hazards it is difficult to see that it is an inland links course. There are many bunkers and these also are well maintained. This time of the year it is nice to play with your shorts and during your round everywhere you are on this course there is always a beautiful skyline around you. Maintenance is good and fast greens keep you focused. Staff is nice and helpful and marshal is driving around to check speed of play. Check before you want to play one of the courses if there are discounts, i. e

promotions, twilight, etc. to make it a bit more value for money, because playing golf in the Emirates is not cheap.

Der Cours befindet sich in der Nähe des Stadtteils Dubai Marina.

Die atemberaubende Skyline der Stadt welche auf vielen Fairways zu bewundern ist gibt dem Platz einen besondren Reiz.

Schöner Golfplatz. Leider haben wir einen schlechten Zeitpunkt gewählt. Der Platz war nur aus der Champion Teebox gesteckt und die Greens waren gesandet, was den gesamt Eindruck schmälert. Es ist mir bewusst das es Platzpflege Massnahmen braucht, aber ohne Ankündigung und bei vollem Greenfee ein no Go.
