Founded in 1904 by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and a small group of golfing enthusiasts, Hindhead Golf Club is set in one of the most glorious natural settings and ranks amongst the best of Britain’s heathland courses. The 18-hole layout measures 6,390 yards, with a par of 70 and, situated close to the A3 and just an hour's drive from London, this wonderfully conditioned and presented course is a must for every golfer.

Played the course with my son (6 handicap) for the first time. Given the recent wet weather, we were lucky to play on a day when the sun shone. The course was in fantastic condition given so much recent wet weather. There were a number of stunning holes and the views surrounding the course were breathtaking. Dit was vorig jaar onze favoriete baan toen we enigszins in de buurt verbleven. Dit keer speelden we op zondag, en konden pas vanaf 12.30 terecht, dus dat zou een latertje worden voor 36 holes. Toch maar wat vroeger naar de baan. Wat we verwachtten, bleek waar: een redelijk lege parkeerplaats. Het zou die dag namelijk 30 graden worden en dan blijven de oudere leden natuur…

Golf course with two faces. First 9 are all running through separate valleys dating from the ice-age. Second 9 more the regular heathland course characteristic for the Surrey region. Very nice clubhouse!

Op een mooie junidag in 2016 hier 36 holes gespeeld. Na de eerste vlakke hole vanaf het clubhuis met een halve beschermingswal om de green begint het feest echt. Wat een spektakelholes. Holes 2 - 9 zijn heel bijzonder en een genot om te spelen. Op hole 6 (die korte par 3 van hoog naar laag) werden wij verwelkomd door de marshal die ons hele verhalen over de baan ging vert…
