Goose Valley Golf Club

Here we are the corona crisis is taken us from playing golf. Also in goose valley everything has been done to keep playing as long as possible. To ensure that the flag is not touched and all players are informed before teeing off, the cups has been taken out a layer of sand underneath and placing back. The course is of course not qualifying but when putting you hit the cup and that is sufficient for your par, bogey or maybe birdie.

However the important thing you still can play are with 2 or 3 players on the course and the next flight is at least 250 m away. Therefore there are still players on the course and good for the club and all the staff.

It is maybe a chance for other clubs to get both income, staff has a job and players are happy to play a round of golf. At least we enjoyed it under beautiful condition to play a round on a nice course.

Golf agréable à jouer, bien entretenu, mais un peu trop "habité"... mais beaucoup mieux que son voisin proche...

Joli golf sur la route des Jardins entouré de constructions diverses, maisons et appartements. Aller assez banal mais un joli retour. Parcours bien entretenu et sans prétention.

Der Gary Player Platz hat einige interessante Löcher. Die Grün's sind klein und fein. Schön, dass man zu Fuß gehen kann und nicht unbedingt ein Cart braucht.

Playing Goose valleyon senior Monday is always a treat. Senior rate 295 rand is a bargain on South African Legend Gary Players designed Golf course. The reception is very nice and lots of swallows already book their tee time in October/November to ensure they have a spot on the time they want. The driving range and practice facilities are fine. The front 9 is nice with some water hazards many bunkers to ensure you keep focused some

undulated holes (hole 3 and 4) but the others are reasonable with wide fairways. The 2nd 9 a bit more undulated with tricky par 3, s hole 11/13. Also the dogleg par 5's need attention for a decent score.

Overall always a pleasure to play the well maintained course with honest undulated greens which are not easy to read your line. Hole 18 comes along the clubhouse and everyone can see you play well or struggle.

Overall a nice round and food and drinks available and nice staff to talk too.
