Alles sehr gepflegt, genügend Parkplätze und kann man auch zu Fuss gehen.

There wasn't really a choice of tee times as priority is (naturally) given to members. We played with other green fee players at around midday, starting from hole 10. We realised afterwards that this means you play the best holes first - holes 1 to 9 are on the lower, flatter part of the course. Less challenging and less of a view.

We'd been advised to hire a buggy as the walk up to the 10th tee is rather long and steep - good advice! The starter was very friendly and helpful.

Basically a nice members club and course - not hugely challenging but pleasant.

Die Fairways ziehen sich durch die Häuserreihen (wie in den USA) sin gut gepflegt, ein mittel interessanter Platz zum einschlagen!

Also close to the winelands not far from the airport and somerset-west you can find the Erinvale golfcourse. The drive to the course is already beautiful with views on the Helderberg and Hottentots Holland Mountains. The reception is very efficient and practice facilities are available including 2 putting greens.

A golf cart maybe advisable, not for the 1st 9 holes but for the 2nd 9 as the course, designed by Gary Player who loves fittness, is upwards on the slope of the Helderberg Mountains. There are nice additional toilets available at hole 5 and 14 For your 1st round play from the blue tees still nearly 5700m. Maintenance of the course is very good with sufficient penalty areas as water and bunkers. Greens are honest and when putting good the ball finds the hole. Be careful with your short game because the kikuyu grass stops your ball quickly so high pitch shots sometimes helpful. The clubhouse is nice located and food and drinks are fine and enjoy the nice views after the game.

It is the most amazing golf course I ever played.
