Golfbaan Spaarnwoude

The C holes form a full-fledged Championship course, earning it the A status by the Dutch Golf Federation (NGF). With a total length of 3,080 meters, these are the longest holes on Spaarnwoude Golf Course. Hole eight is the hardest (stroke index 1/2): with an expanse of water to the right and a large bunker in the middle of the fairway, a good tee shot on this hole is vital.

The F compact course stimulates the inexperienced golfer. These holes are particularly suited to those who have held a golf club from time to time or have had some initial lessons. The average length of the F holes is 106 metres. Since 2010, FootGolf has also been available to play on the F holes, making Spaarnwoude Golf Course one of the first golf courses to have embraced this sport. In partnership with FootGolf Holland (the official Dutch FootGolf Association) you can now play the F holes with a football instead of a golf ball.

The E holes are the oldest and often considered the most beautiful holes on Spaarnwoude Golf Course. With a total length of 2,759 meters, they comprise the shortest holes of the three Championship courses. Woods and water are key features here. The narrow fairways mean that an accurate shot is crucial. The ninth hole is the trickiest of the E holes. The hillock in the middle and the elevated, fantastically-situated green surrounded by water and bunkers, challenge the golfer to gauge the distance. Our advice: make sure you don’t skip the E holes!

The A executive course is subdivided into seven par 3 and two par 4 holes. With its forgiving fairways, challenging water features and strategically positioned bunkers, this course brings the best out of the experienced golfer. Scoring well won’t come easy to players with a higher handicap, but these holes do provide every opportunity to improve their game. With an average length of 176 meters, these qualifying holes are also ideally suited for handicap attainment. Many a golfer has secured the highly sought after Golf Proficiency Pass here, earning this course an impressive reputation.

Right from the very first tee shot, the B holes demand control, a good aim, and distance judgement to play well. For all its relatively short holes (on average 151 meters), but in reality, this short course proves not all that easy to play. For players with a low handicap, a misjudgement frequently results in a different outcome than anticipated, whereas bogey golfers can often be found enjoying a drink on the terrace with a smile on their face, evaluating their scores.
