The first of two Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Courses - "Monte Rei North" - opened for play in June 2007. This par 72 Championship golf course measuring 6567m from the Tournament tees is a truly unique design; with water coming into play on eleven of the eighteen holes, the golf course features an enjoyable series of eight par-4s, five par-3s and five par-5s in a challenging and distinctive layout.

Wat een prachtige baan. Een feestje om te mogen spelen. Zeer uitdagende holes met een afwisselende hoeveelheid hazards. Greens en fairways zijn perfect. Hoog service-niveau (prima ontvangst en begeleiding tot aan de teebox van 1). Als je in de Algarve bent zeg ik; het bezoeken waard.

Een beoordeling schrijven voor deze baan is een uitdaging. Werkelijk alles was van zeer hoge kwaliteit zelfs het weer. De start hebben we zelf 3 keer uitgesteld omdat we lekker aan het inslaan waren. Eerst nog even koffie en dan naar T1 Je moet bij je afslag wel wat lengte hebben anders heeft het echt geen zin om hier te spelen. Kies dan maar slim van rood. Greens zijn vo…

Fantastische baan. Elke hole ligt helemaal op zich zelf. Je ziet geen andere hole. Heel bijzonder. Baan wordt elke ochtend Tip top in orde gebracht. Fairways worden zelfs schoongeblazen en de bunkers zien er uit om door een ringetje te halen.
Echt een belevenis om hier 3 dagen te spelen. Super vriendelijke mensen, zeer service gericht.

This is my favourite course I’ve ever played. I’ve played all over Europe and caddied for my brother when he was a European Tour player and I’ve never seen anything to match this, YET!
It’s very expensive BUT it’s an experience. The only Jack Nicklaus course in Portugal and they start the South course soon.
