Serengeti Golf & Wildlife Estate comprises of an 18 hole course, named Masai Mara, which has a rugged grassland and dune scape look and feel and a 9 hole course, named Whistling Thorn, which features classic design elements and a plains like feel. The Serengeti Golf Club is the first course in Gauteng to use cool season grasses meaning that the course remains lush green throughout the year. A variety of tee options combined with a careful consideration to daily set-up can provide the sternest of challenges for the most skilled players, yet the ideal environment for new golfers to learn the game. There are a number of unique features, such as the challenging par five, 8th hole with its island green.

Nice course. Unfortunately there was maintenance on the greens and tee boxes when I played here. We were compensated for this, so the golf course employees handled this well. Playful and varied holes, sharp marshal. Great staff and all facilities are great and very new.

From start to finish full service. After bag drop they prepare your buggy that has everything (GPS+courseguide+cooler). Huge drivingrange with balls in pyramids and guys cleaning your clubs. You order your halfway lunch @ the start and thanks to the GPS of your cart lunch is ready when you finish hole 9. After your round you receive a complimentary beer in the perfect locker room. The course is in excellent condition (we played 2 week prior to the Sunshine tour). Signature hole 8 is not so though if you hit it straight but its a real gem.
Prachtige uitdagende golfbaan. Buggy is verplicht, komt nog bij de greenfee prijs. Goed onderhouden. Opvallend rustig.
