Without question, Royal Johannesburg & Kensington Golf Club is one of the most prestigious golf clubs in South Africa. In its almost 130 years of existence, it has hosted 7 South African Opens and numerous other major tournaments. Royal is home to the biggest annual professional golf event in Africa, the Joburg Open, inaugurated in 2007, and is the preferred venue for the International Final Qualifier (Africa) for the Open Championship. The Club's two courses are both ranked as major achievers in the awards lists. The West Course, although not as highly rated as the East Course, is the preferred course for many members due to its ease of playability for golfers of all abilities.

Ik vond dit waanzinnig. Elke hole was een mooi. En ik vond het ook mooi dat je vaak een overzicht had van meerder holes die nabij lagen omdat de 18 holes in een soort kom liggen. Goeie greens, snel ook!

De ontvangst was niet van harte. Personeel hing een beetje rond, geen goedemorgen of enig aanwijzing waar we ons moesten melden.
In de proshop was de receptionist met zn telefoon bezig. Eigenlijk geen tijd om ons te woord te staan. Erg onverschillig. Dan voel je je niet echt welkom.
Prijs is incl. Buggy Zar 380 p.p. €70, voor 2 personen.
Erg mooi clubhuis, met prima faciliteiten.
Snelle grote greens. Onderhoud baan heel goed en mooi gelegen met prachtige uitzichten. Vanaf de wijk Bradford view 20 min.

Nice course, nice terrain. Playful and varied holes. Not the nicest surroundings, but the (East) course is beautiful. Nice staff and great clubhouse.

La manutenzione del campo è impeccabile.
Purtroppo i green sono di difficile interpretazione a causa del taglio dell’erba incrociato in diverse direzioni che non permette all’occhio di vedere dossi e cunette.
Il driving range è piccolo, cosa non essenziale per un campo di questa portata. Paesaggi stupendi e indimenticabili, nonché numerosi uccelli selvatici.
