The Golfclub Zell am See consists of 2 courses, the Schmittenhohe and the Kitzensteinhorn. We played the Kitzensteinhorn which is a PAR73 course. Its greatest assets are the wonderful views over the surrounding mountains. We played the course on a Thursday afternoon, to our surprise the course was not busy at all. Check-in was very friendly and welcoming. It was the first time we payed the course and we got a birdy-book for free without even asking for it. Most greens greens are fairly wide. There are several waterhazards, but they hardly come in the game. Teeboxes, greens and bunkers were spot-on. What we liked very much that there are toilets on the far ends of the course.
Leuke baan om te spelen. Baan ligt in een dal dus geen hoogte verschillen. Ontvangst was er vriendelijk en eten in het restaurant was dikke prima.
Totale Ebene unter den Bergen, schöne Aussichten, ausgezeichnete Pflege, nettes Personal, sehr bunte und schöne Roughs, die immer blühen.

Struttura con 36 buche tutte pianeggianti. Campo pratica stupendo. Accoglienza ed organizzazione perfette. Giocato il percorso Schmittenhöhe. L'ho trovato abbastanza noioso. Parecchie buche simili. Bello invece il finale 16-17-18. Manutenzione appena sufficiente. Il campo ha sofferto tantissimo il caldo e la scarsità di acqua. Irrigano solo tee box e green e se non piove sono problemi. Prezzo nella media del Tirolo.

Schmittenhöhe Course
18 holesThis championship layout is something truly unique for the discerning golfer. Throughout the 18 holes it boasts many risk and reward shots. The opening holes can either make or break your round, so be careful when trying to attack to early. Well placed tee shots are key to attacking the raised greens with your approach shots. With an accurate well placed long drive the better golf can try and attack the par 5´s with their second shot., however these approach shots are narrow and well guarded by either water or bunkers.
Kitzsteinhorn Course
18 holesIt might be the neighbourhood to "Schmittenhöhe", however, this option for golf near Kaprun is a fine example of how two layouts in such close proximity can still create quite different but vastly enjoyable golfing experiences. While its levelled fairways and generously sized greens inspire joy and confidence, the player who strays from them will quickly find roughs, trees, water or other frustrating obstacles in uncompromising abundance on the golf course Kitzsteinhorn. Players of every skill level will find much to delight in and many reasons to return to this 18-hole golf facility near Kaprun.
