Killeen Golf Club

Around 30 min from Dublin, one can find this golf course. Pro shop is fine, you can have rentals at 30€, good set of clubs. There is a putting area. If you look at the maintenance, the course is well maintained from tee box to green, traps around the green are okay too, greens are excellent, but...

It need to be said as I was really disappointed. This Course is very boring. There is really nothing interesting from hole 1-6. Nothing. That is long if you expected something. Very flat meaningless par 4’s average 360yrds! Hole 7,8 and 9 are fun (from which 2 par 3’s. The last couple of holes 15-18 are interesting again. Greenfee is around 30€, if you like a walk in the park it is great place but if you are looking for some excitement... search a bit further.

One of the best courses I have ever played. €10 green fee for a junior. Greens roll just like the nearby K club (If not better). Lots of water. fairways and bunkers well manicured. 18th is a lovely par 3 which would remind you of the 17th at Sawgrass. Surrounded by water and bunkers. Greens are seriously Impressive!

A superbly kept course just off the N7 and thirty minutes from Dublin. Tight fairways and lovely rolling greens, plenty of water in play on most of the holes means tee shots and iron play into greens needs to be on point! A must play in my book I’ll be heading back soon!

Le parcours de Killeen n’est pas facilement accessible. La toile de fond, le panoramique sur le lac est très spécial, un spectacle vu nulle part ailleurs dans le monde. Les vues magnifiques sur le lac et les montagnes font un décor spectaculaire à l’un des parcours de golf les plus réputés au monde. Les derniers trous offrent une véritable dramaturgie au parcours de Killeen. L’Irish Open a été organisé sur le parcours en 1991 et 1992 avec Nick Faldo vainqueur en ces deux occasions.

• Fabuleuse vue sur le lac sur les 1er,2ème,3ème et 4ème trous.

• Spectaculaire par 3 sur le 10ème pratiquement jouer sur le lac.

• Fabuleux trous de fermeture avec une excellente vue sur le lac.
