Parking is easy and plentiful, good pro shop and helpful staff. Challeging course with plenty of creeks and thermal activity on the course.

Platz sehr trocken, gleichwohl gut gepflegt.

When visiting New Zealand as a golfer this golf course is a must. Not because it is expensive or nr 1 but to play a course where the hazards are mud pools of over the 1000 degrees.
Do not play with new balls because when hitting such a thermal active area your ball quickly disintegrate and nothing is left in seconds. Take on old ball and throw it into such a mud pool or geyser and see what happens. Of course all players hit straight shots but it is nice to see. The course itself is flat par 70 and easy to walk. Also you smell during your round the sulphur from the the thermal areas. Hole 18 give you nice views of the Whakarewarewa thermal reserve. The clubhouse is open and you can still enjoy your Rotarua golf experience and hopefully lost not too many balls..
