2 Grandes campos de Golf. Buen mantenimiento, aunque tuvo tiempos mejores.

Old Course. Es un clásico de la zona de Sotogrande. Un gran diseño, gran campo de tee a green.

New Course. Algo más de movimiento desniveles en los hoyos pero otra buena opción de juego.

Fueron sedes de algunos torneos del European Tour y durante muchos años sede. PQ Finals.

Booked a twilight tee on the New Course at San Roque at 3pm on 10th March for 68 euros which included a buggy on teetimesbooking. com. I hadn't realised that the Old Course and the clubhouse were in the middle of a complete renovation so the place is a building site. This is possibly why the tee time was so cheap. Nonetheless the caddymasters were extremely welcoming. They showed me around and explained the plans for the Old Course once all of the works were complete. I actually teed off at 2.45pm as there was no one in front of me and no practice facilities (barring a net) available due to the ongoing works. Playing as a 1 ball I caught a group of 4 players around the 7th hole and one of the marshalls explained that there were 6 groups of 4 ahead of me so if i wanted i could just play the front 9 again. However once i got to the 9th green they took me across to the 13th hole so that I had effectively jumped in front of all of the slow groups and then told me to finish 10,11 & 12 after i come off of 18.

To summarise, if you can see past the work that's going on and lack of facilities due to this, then you will get cracking value for money on a wonderful golf course. The greens were running at 11.5 - 12 on the stimp apparently, and I've certainly never putted on faster greens. The wind was blowing a bit and as it was my first visit to San Roque I didn't score well. But none of that takes away from how impressed i was with the course, the staff who went out of their way to make sure i didn't have a terribly slow round, and all for the same cost as a round at somewhere far less quality.

I'm back on the Costa del Sol in a few weeks and will 100% be back for more quality golf at San Roque.

Gamla golfbanan är under renovering även träningsanläggningen, gamla banan öppnar till hösten.

Älskar den nya banan prisvärd, bra skick och trevlig personal.

San Roque, un nom qui fait rêver mais... Le old n’est pas en travaux il est en construction et va devenir le « new old course ». C’est un vaste chantier et les conséquences pour les joueurs du new sont importantes: pas de practice, pas de putting green...

Accueil très agréable

Parcours très sec aves beaucoup de fairways bosselés et donc des rebonds surprenants. Fairways très étroits avec des bunkers partout mais de bonne qualité. Dans l’ensemble des trous techniques agréables à jouer avec des greens raisonnablement rapides. En conclusion un parcours à jouer.
